Machine Learning with R: Expert techniques for predictive modeling

While my personal interests tend to center around the applications of deep learning, it is well known that prediction can be more accurate with other machine learning techniques such as support vector machines (SVM). This book takes a general approach, teaching the reader how to implement a wide variety of machine-learning techniques. A sampling of these techniques include: basic regression, classification techniques, deep learning, naive Bayes, and SVMs. In addition, the author discusses how to work with large datasets by implementing parallel computing in R, which is a topic that has become increasingly important. This book would be a great fit for someone that is interested in data science and wants exposure to many different statistical methods.
